New York Block Party

Last weekend we went to Islip, NY to visit the NY Webers. While we were there, we attended their block party. It really was the best block party we have ever been to. After getting ice cream from Mr. Softie, Katherine spotted the lady painting faces and arms. K got a butterfly on her arm and was so happy with it. I think she thought she was tough, with her "tattoo". I'm glad I took a picture of it, because it didn't take much playing in the water toys to wash it almost completely off. Katherine took to the moon bounce better than I expected and was jumping all over the place.

Justin was kind enough to let people ride his green machine. Even Aunt Dawn used it to run an errand to the car!

We all had a blast!

Farm Fair 2008

We attended the Harford County Farm Fair again this year. Rob's company also had a booth set up and several pieces of their equipment on display. I think Katherine was almost more excited about the equipment than the animals. She saw all of her favorites; piggies, cows, sheep, horses, goats, chickens, etc. She was a little hesitant about the horses, but who wouldn't be when you see their relative size difference. However, she was captivated when a horse was brought in to it's stall and the people were taking it's saddle off and feeding it. That's the picture where she's crouching down and watching. At the end of our visit to the fair, Katherine actually got to drive a backhoe!!!! What joy!

Brayden's 1st Birthday

We all celebrated Brayden's 1st Birthday at Bellevue State Park on July 26th. There was a lot for the kids to do with playsets, swings, and horses to see. Dawn and Billy did a great job of organizing everything and having games for the kids to play too. We all had a great time!

Wedding Hostess

Katherine attended a wedding on the boat a few weeks ago while we were out with some adult friends. She helped Mimi play hostess on the boat. It turned out that K and the flower girl knew each other from story hour at the library. While the reception went on downstairs, Katherine danced on the upper deck and kept the Captains entertained. Mom got some great pictures during that cruise. Notice that the baby's dress matches Katherine's.
