Move Recap

As most of you know, we moved to Maryland on April 12th. While everything went relatively smoothly, you can bet that we won't be moving again anytime soon.

Mom and Dad watched Katherine the day before the move and the day of. That was a great help! It poured rain in the morning while the movers packed up the second truck, and then sprinkled off and on while they unloaded in MD. We were glad we hired professionals! They finished up around 9:30 pm and we decided to spend the night at Mom and Dad's. Of course we had the same rain/wind storm a few days later that hit the northeast. That was fun in a brand new house! Not!

We have made good progress with unpacking and getting settled in, but still have a week or two before we're finished.

We have met several neighbors and everyone seems nice. We have some fresh deer tracks in our yard, but we haven't seen them yet.

To make life even more interesting, I accepted a job offer with a tug and barge company in Baltimore. I will be starting June 1st.

Here is a picture of Katherine during the move. She was chillin' in her high chair supervising the movers as they worked at the new house. She's wearing Uncle Scott's hat.
